A: I was feeling very tired and emotional when I saw it. I even cried during some of the previews... but I did not cry in the film.

A: It has what it takes to win Best Picture at a Ryan Reynolds Film Festival.
Q: How is the Acting?
A: The actors manage to keep even the potentially cheesiest of lines grounded in reality, so the words always feel like someone would actually say them. My only concern is that both Isla Fisher and Rachel Weisz slip out of their American accents once in a while.
Q: How is the Directing?
A: Simple and nice. Adam Brooks keeps the actors moving even in the multiple story-telling scenes, which take place on a child's bed.
Q: How is the story/script?
A: The interweaving of the three stories gives it a very original feel. The "Mystery-love story" aspect gives the audience something to play along with. And there are some fun new terms, like the idea that when sex is not for the purpose of conception it is, "A Rehearsal."

The wife and I went to see it last night. Not bad at all! Ryan Reynolds was great for the role. I'm surprised you say that he could "actually be funny" because I thought he was hilarious in Just Friends. Especially during the credits at the end. There was one problem with Definitely, Maybe: I'll be cryptic, but how could the daughter have no idea, from her father's descriptions, which one is which? I mean, she knows nothing at all about her? (Hope that's not too cryptic.) So, for what it is, I'd say this movie deserves a green light.
It's funny you should mention the cryptic thing about the daughter. I was just thinking about that yesterday. It doesn't make sense from the start, cuz she has to know who her mother is. But he does change the names. So I think that's how they get away with it.
As far as the light goes, I thought it was teetering on a green light, I liked it alot, and most of my girlfriends have LOVED it. But I wasn't convinced that it would cross over to a movie that guys had to see, and would enjoy, because it wasn't the best in its genre like Dan in Real Life or Four Weddings and a Funeral. It was very good thouhg, and people who like Rom-coms should definitely go see it. And I'm glad that you, as a boy (I'm assuming ;-) ) liked it, because more men should indulge in these kinds of romantic movies.
Btw, Just Friends... Are you really going to use that as a reference for a movie that's funny? I can not agree with you there. Side of the barn, my friend. Except Anna Faris, she was great.
